Sent a letter dated 4/15/99 which included the following statements:
"Thank you for your interest in our products, TABASCO brand Pepper Sauce. We have had
our finished products tested for gluten by the Food Allergy Research and Resource Program
at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. According to the test results, TABASCO brand Pepper
Sauce, TABASCO brand Green Pepper Sauce, TABASCO brand Habanero Sauce and TABASCO brand
Garlic Pepper Sauce, can be considered gluten free. However, since the detection limit of
the test is 0.016%, I suggest that you talk with your physician regarding this matter to
make absolutely sure that our products are safe to be consumed by those allergic to
gluten."
Enclosed with the letter was a copy of the test results summary that they had received
from the Research Analyst at the University of Nebraska Lincoln (dated August 25, 1998).
